MESA, Ariz. — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority announced today the three final candidates for the Executive Director position.
Izzy Bonilla, Deputy Director at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, joins two internal candidates, Casey Denny, Gateway Airport Deputy Director and Jane Morris, Gateway Airport Director – Special Projects. All three candidates are scheduled
to attend a public meet and greet on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the Country Inn & Suites, 6650 East Superstition Springs Blvd. Mesa, AZ 85206. The public is welcome to attend.
“Each candidate is a gifted executive with strong credentials in airport management,” Mesa City Manager Chris Brady said. “We welcome the community to attend the ‘Meet and Greet’ and share their opinion. This is an important step in the hiring process before
the candidates enter their final interview with the Board of Directors.”
The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority contracted with an executive search firm to search for a new Executive Director, resulting in 40 applicants. The three finalists were selected through a series of interviews which included a review panel consisting
of airport tenants, community leaders, and citizens. Following the community meet and greet, the finalists will be interviewed by the Airport Authority’s Board of Directors and the selected candidate will be announced. Current executive director, Lynn Kusy
will retire March 15.
