Allegiant Announces Service to Las Vegas

MESA, Ariz.Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) announces new, nonstop jet service between Mesa, Ariz., and Las Vegas, Nev., will begin Nov. 17. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will introduce the new service to East Valley residents with fares as low as $29.99* one way.

"We are excited to offer new service between the Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport and Las Vegas," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant President, said. "The Phoenix Mesa community has long been asking for this service and we answered with low fares and great deals on hotels, car rentals and show tickets.”

"Las Vegas is the top requested destination for our airport's travelers,” Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Executive Director, Lynn Kusy said. “We are very excited about Allegiant’s continued commitment to providing low-fare air service to popular destinations from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and we are confident the Gateway community will respond positively to the Las Vegas service.”

The new flights will operate six times weekly between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) and McCarran International Airport (LAS), with service Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. On Mondays, flights will depart Mesa at 1:25 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 1:35 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 2:15 p.m. arriving in Mesa at 4:25 p.m. On Thursdays, flights will depart Mesa at 2:00 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 2:10 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 2:50 p.m. arriving in Mesa at 5:00 p.m. On Fridays and Sundays, there will be two flights. The first flight will depart Mesa at 2:50 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 3:00 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 3:40 p.m. arriving in Mesa at 5:50 p.m. The second flight will depart Mesa at 6:30 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 6:40 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 7:20 p.m. arriving in Mesa at 9:30 p.m. (all flight times are local).  The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route.

Allegiant’s $29.99* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by Oct. 16, 2011, and is valid for travel between Nov. 17, 2011, and Feb. 14, 2012. Introductory fares are not available on all flights.
