Expect Low-flying Airtankers in East Valley
U.S. Forest Service Adds DC-10 Aircraft

Mesa, Ariz. — East Valley residents should expect a temporary increase in airtanker aircraft overflights as the result of the Brown fire near Tucson.

The U.S. Forest Service has increased its firefighting operations at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport with a DC-10 aircraft. The DC-10 joins several other airtankers temporarily based at the Airport.

Concerned residents can call the Airport’s noise complaint line at 480-929-7902.
