MESA, Ariz. — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority temporarily closed the cell phone lot due to nearby construction impacts. Visitors choosing to wait in their cars for arriving passengers can do so at the passenger terminal
parking lot with the first 30 minutes free. Each additional 30 minutes will be charged $1.
“At Gateway Airport, we strive to make the passenger terminal experience as easy as possible,” said Public Information Officer, Brian Sexton. “We recognize the cell phone lot is a sought out amenity and by providing 30 minutes free parking at the terminal,
visitors can still enjoy waiting in their cars while being just steps away from the facility.”
The cell phone lot is scheduled to be closed a minimum of one year.
